Dunlop WInter Sport 3D ROF arrived-PSI?

    What PSI you guys running?

Hopefully I'll get the wheel off this Saturday and run it to an independent shop to put on the new compound (rubber not accurate anymore with these new tires).

Ordered from tire rack. Date code Oct, 2014! I'm not sending it back, just going ride more often.

It's a Run Flat. I start @ 30psi cold... and make adjustments from there...

Tire is on. Ran 60 miles on it. Smooth, like having an air shock on back. Road snakes are dead. Got 31 PSI in it.

    Next up, front darkside.

So, a guy at work tells me that snow tires use different compounds that are not good in hot weather. He believes the mileage won't last as long and believes the tire will get excessively tacky on hot pavement.

Is he talking out his ass or is their a thread of truth to what he says?

Winter tires use a softer rubber compound and can wear faster. But you will still get much better mileage out of it; compared to most motorcycle tires.

Tacky is good for a motorcycle = better grip.

    Cool

Tacky is a great thing!!! I actually took my tire off my F6 and put it on my GL...I am thinking 25K miles so far and maybe 10K to go... Great tire!!!! I call BS on the heat deal. Tires get plenty hot normally.
