F6B goes down due to unsafe tires ?

Seems as though you have interpreted the word "vehicle" to mean "car/auto! I would strongly suggest that you search and understand the meaning of "vehicle"! It includes bicycle, cart, auto, truck, van and about any other thing that transports people or things. Wow! That's rather profound! Appears we could include skateboards, SegWays,, wheel chairs, hay wagons, farm tractors etc.

The death of the Texan occurred in Oklahoma on I35 near Purcell, his passenger survived, the info I obtained was second hand from my cousin who was first hand, operating the tow truck that removed the damage bike - he overheard the OHP comment on the car tire while he inspecting the bike and was annotating his report.

My cousin is not a motorcyclist and assumed the big Honda was like mine, an F6B. I was actually more interested in learning which brand/type of tire failed but Cousin didn't have access to police yard after he left.

I am perfectly aware that our motorcycle tires fail also - but we never hear about the darksider failures. thus the post.

Vehicle crashes are a series of events. Crash investigation is a matter of science and mathematics, not conjecture where eye witnesses provide some valuable information. Flying vehicles (aircraft) crashes are investigated by a team of government appointed specialists. With that being said, how much crash investigation training do law enforcement employees receive?

Ran hard to Atlanta Monday (729 miles). No issues. Did not blow up.

@Bob109 - You are right - I no sooner hit the post button as I was thinking the same thing you said - sigh, brain fart. Interesting to note I posted the same thing on the Valkyrie Forum and got some interesting investigative efforts. Yeah I own and F6B and and F6C. I haven't figured out how to edit my title as of yet.

Point of Interest - While I was originally a detractor of the dark side practice, I have a different spin on things now - after I went to Daytona Bike Week Fall of 2016 and saw every imaginable type of crazy on motorcycle I decided it was not for me to judge. I may not ride the dark side, but I wont judge those who want to either... these days I am more interested in LEARNING about the affects of CT's on Motorcycles. As someone mentioned I think obtaining data from solid accident investigations is more important.

Best way to learn about the Darkside is to mount one, talk to us for advice... and experiance it for yourself.

T Bob. If you wish to try one out I have a CT on an extra rim. If you ride over here we can put it on your bike and you can try it out for a couple of weeks and then change back. That would give you a good idea if you like it or not before going thru the expense of mounting one yourself. Mine is going back on to finish off when the current MT is worn out.
