It's a great mental exercise as I have to look up the dates for everything...
Most people have not ever sat down and tried to postulate time.
100 years EZ
A 1000 a little harder
Millions?
So when we think of the ice age ending on a scale of time less than 10 seconds ago........
I do not see how anyone would have such a knee-jerk reaction(s) as some do.
Most of us measure time from the date of our birth certificate.
70 years is not even a spec of dust on the scales of time

How about this...

..after 100 years has elapsed, no one will really care about your (anyone's) death anymore. No one. Think about that.
