I have had a Corbin saddle on my last two bikes. "Wouldn't leave home without it!" It does definitely have a significant break-in period. It was explained to me as breaking in a horse saddle. The longer you set in it the more "Broke-in" it becomes and fit to your butt. That is what I have experienced it both my saddles.

Corbin (in my opinion) is like riding on a 2x8 board. Very hard, if you like hard, go Corbin. I'll never buy another one.
Ultimate is good, Russell Day Long is the best (in my opinion) most comfortable & the best money you'll spend on any upgrade.
