I mounted my tour pack on two pieces of simple aluminum angle. In hindsight, you don't need any type of rack; Simply use spacers and washers and drill through the bottom of the case. I think most cases would be strong enough to not need support underneath..... Your mounting bolts would go through the case, through the spacer tubes and directly into the rack mount holes.

DarkKnt is correct, IMO. When I mounted my Harley King Tour Pak on the Dale rack, I drilled 4 holes in the bottom of the trunk, added some nylon spacers under the trunk, and bolted it to Dale's rack. That Harley trunk bottom is damn solid and thick enough to handle any kind of mounting issue, IMO.

Some do look better than others.
Think the trick is try to keep the lines of the bike if you also go for looks.
If you just20180526_081756 by David Greenhause, on Flickr want the trunk space for travel then anything goes that fits.

That pack right there looks good. I've seen a few butt ugly ones but I guess it is function over form.

+1 on the Givi. Comes off in 5 secs. Can get a 3/4 and a half helmet and close the lid.
I put my CPAP in mine for over nighters.
Comes with a mount plate that can be mounted on just about anything.
    ITS ALL GOOD

Cool....Here you go. I've talked to Dale several times. He can even customize his rack for you if you need it larger or if you don't want all the holes and slots. Just tell him what you need. He includes the 4 bolts with the rack BUT understand that his bolts are M8 bolts that fit the DELUXE model, not the standard model. If you have the standard F6B, you'll need to get the brackets that fit under the rear shelter before adding a rack or the back rest.

    Terry.....

What's the trunk mounted on? Any way to show a photo of the rack for inquiring minds?

Mate their 3 bolts holding it in
The holes are drilled in the factory rack as you can see in the picture?
Just put a strip of aluminum or something on the inside of the top box when yah screw in in.
Just gives it more support/strength me thinks
Oh and put the bolts in from underneath so the nuts are screwed on from the inside.
just makes it a lot easier
