I live in Western NY so I’ve only had a couple of days to take short rides with the stock shield and can tell it will be my first modification. I did a search and couldn’t find anything on Klock Werks so I apologize if this has been discussed before. Many of you seem to like the bagger shield and Madstad but I like the looks of a one piece, non adjustable shield. I definitely want to look over the shield so the distortion caused by the curved shape shouldn’t be a big issue for me. Unfortunately I don’t live close to a shop that does the “try before you buy” program so I’m going to lean on info I get here before I order online.
If anyone has any experience with these I would like to hear what you have to say and what size shield you ride with. I’m 6’3” with a 34” inseam just for comparison.

    Thanks in adavance! Tim
I have a 16" knock works and a medium Clearview. The knock is good but I like the Clearview better. Clearview adjusts .75 inches and in my opinion is better quality. As far as protection they are about the same. Clearview with a vent is about the same price as the kw without.

How tall are you and do you look over the medium Clearview? Tint? Sport or Sport Tour? I'm pretty sure I am going to get a Clearview.

Im 6'1 with a 34" inseam. I just purchased a 14" KW and have only ridden about 10 mi with it. Still a little chilly in Iowa and the roads are still covered with sand. The wind just hit the top of my head.

I was riding with a KW that had been cut down to about 12" and was getting a lot of wind on my face. Even with the shorter version, I could still wear a ball cap at hiway speeds tho.

I would think that a 16" would work well for you. I also ran a 13" CBaileys for a couple of months that worked fine but I like the looks of the KW better. Watch the classifieds and Ebay, you should be able to find used for about half the cost of new.

I'm five six but have a long torso. My Clearview is the sport tour which is the wider one. It goes from fifteen inches to fifteen and three quarters. I have it all the way up. Your posture on the bike makes a difference too. I like to sit up and back against the back rest. When I bought my last Clearview they had a couple of blemished at 40% off. I bought one and if they didn't have it marked I would have never seen it. Nobody in my group has been able to find it either. I would call and ask if they still have the other one.

I have the Klock werks shield and love it. Tinted color. For this bike the lines work for me and the recurve is a wonderful thing. Main reason I bought any other than the stock sheild was a trip down south and the bugs kept me blind. I amuse myself watching them commit hari Kari on the recurve edge.
Seriously I watched and checked out all the other recommendations and am happy with this shield. I am 5'11 34 inch inseam. I have had it on both the stock seat and presently my Mustang seat. Air flows across the top vents of my helmet maybe a little if I stick my elbows out. Rain and ice are not a problem however ice will stick in the recurve a little.Pricey ,maybe but not bad for what you get IMO...

My Klockworks was failing to do the job needed. Replaced it with a Mastad and now all it good. The KW is in the spare parts pile in case I need a nice curved piece of clear plastic for some reason. Not worth the trouble or expense to sale and ship.

Sport Tour Clearview with the re-curve is fantastic!
If you look over the top (as I do), you should have no problem ... no wind no buffeting and my passenger thinks it's great also.

I have a 16" Klock, my problem is the cold air comes around behind my lower back & gets under my jacket. BUT, I also have those wind wings on my fairing & under my mirrors. Don't know which is causing the issue with the cold air whipping behind my low back & getting under my jacket. On cold days it bothers a decades old back injury.
Anybody else w/ a klock had the wind going up your back??

I’m 5’6” with a 29” inseam. I have the 14” klock Works. Some days I think the 16” would have been a better choice. If / when I need to replace it I will go with the 16”.

5'11"....33 inseam. Works great for me. It blocks a lot for it's size.
“Gibraltar” 2016 white deluxe has been sold.
