I am using Hyperlights, not sure how effective other than I have not been hit from the rear. LOL

Not the most attractive option but they do add visibility.

Also, Whelen Engineering has some good choices. I installed both the HyperLite and the Whelen TIR3 on my bike. On the Whelen Engineering website, take a look at the choice of Lightheads. They make some nice products.

In addition, the TIR3 that I used fits perfectly in the space where the OEM passive reflector sits. The HyperLites can be mounted various ways. I made a special mount for mine which required cutting a hole in the fender but they can also be mounted on a license plate frame.

I assume yours is a Whelen TIR3. Does it just strobe once the brake light is applied? Does it ever come to a solid red? I'm looking for a similar light that will strobe with my brake light/flasher and then go solid red. Thanks in advance for your input!

My thoughts are anything that gets attention. If a brake light modulator is what you like go for it. I ran them ( actually a Bright Assed light) on all my Harleys and they work. ON this bike I wanted something in addition to the normal brake light. There are many options out there.
