    Fire near Durango, CO

Picked this up from the VRCC web site. Hope there are no problems in late August for the F6B gathering.

I added a little info on the Cortez ride sticky in the Rides Subforum. I was in the SW part of Colorado the past few days. Hopefully we will start getting the monsoonal flow in early July and the afternoon thunderstorms will help with the fire danger. It is extremely dry all over the SW US.

Will be heading up 550 1st week in Aug. 3 years ago, about 4 states were on fire when I passed thru Red Lodge. It was like a nuclear sun, temps didn't get higher than about 60 in August when I passed thru. At 7 a.m. it was in the 40's. Locals were wearing parkas.
