    2018 Tour Front End Separation

Grabbed these pics from another forum. Happened in Istanbul, Turkey. Was also on FB but supposedly FB removed the thread. Can't believe this could happen but then the wishbone appears to be a cast part. This could possibly create serious doubts for potential buyers. It would certainly make me think twice about it.

It does not give me any concerns. I think rear ending a car you would expect some serious damage. That part breaking off or the forks folding under are both bad. Maybe a little sudden stop impact absorption might be a good thing. Of course we do not know the whole story. Would be amazing if the bike stayed upright like it looks like it did.

Obviously it did. Supposedly rear-ended a car is all I read. No other info on the accident. If you enlarge the photo of the front wheel you will see that the wheel is severely dented in two spots.

I'm going to be ok. Still have plenty of pain to deal with. As of today, I don't have the urge to ride anymore. That could change in time. I've been hit twice now in 4 years. I feel like there's a target on my back.

That's some shitty luck for sure. Hope the pain gets better. Only you will know when it will be time to ride again. Good luck.

Man-o-man, that's one messed up bike! Any idea what speed he / she was running when they hit you? Injuries going to heal okay? Seems like bikers are a target. We ain't got much of a chance against a 4 wheeled cage.
My daughter lives in HI., 2 months ago she was riding her scooter to work when some guy ran a red light & T-boned her running between 30-35 mph. Knocked her across 3 lanes of traffic, landed on her left side. L. arm & shoulder pretty messed up. Helmet saved her head. She's still laid up at home. Hopes to go back to work in a couple of weeks.
