    saddle bag stuck closed

Anybody ever have a saddlebag stick closed.
It is probably my fault I over filled it and forced it closed.
    Now it wont open!!!!

    Any advice?

I took the two seat bolts and grab handle on that side / still can not open the saddlebag.

Did you try pushing in (closed) on the saddle bag while trying to release?

I have had this happen before on the right side and like you said push in and pull the release and it opens.
I had to remove the grab rail once but it finally opened. The drives side left side is now stuck and will not open.

Does the release lever feel like it is pulling the lock. If not it will move very easy. Either the release needs lube, its spring loaded and not returning.or you could have some cloth object pushed in the lock when you closed it.
Pull the lever and let it snap back a few times. That should reset it.
If that doesn't work, Let us know.
Some body has been there and done that.

I guess when I get off work tonight I will take the seat off and see if I can figure it out.
How hard is it to take the saddle bag off?

Mounting bolts are inside of the bag.

Try a small plastic pry bar in the crack, turn the key & bump / bang the bag door w/ the bottom of your closed fist, push on the pry bar all at the same time. You'll need help / extra hand..... chances are there something in the latch.

I had a similar issue a couple years ago and solved it with the above method and spraying silicone lube into the gap around the gaskets..Let it set for a few minutes and "walla" no problems since....
