A word of caution on your hitch mounted case... I just returned from a 2 month riding holiday in Europe; We did about 16k km's. My buddy had a similar set up, carrying about 20lbs of stuff in his hitch mounted case. We left it in the wilds of North Scotland, after it departed the bike. As it turns out, the lever arm was a bit long (similar to yours, from what I can tell from your pics) and the constant "bouncing" of the case ended up breaking the welds holding the hitch to the frame. According to the instructions for the hitch, you would have thought there was no problem. Anyway, some lucky hiker in Scotland will come across a nice case of new camping gear... Just thought I'd mention it.
