Rear rack on a Standard F6B

I have a friend that just bought a standard F6B. He wants to put a rack on the back. Just wondering about the procedure for the standard. (See Picture Below) Do you just take the grab rails off and then gently pry off the little plastic covers to find the anchor mounts for the rack? He has the mounting bolts and spacers. Just wondering if he has the right stuff.
Also do you know what the stock backrest costs from Honda?
    Thanks in Advance

There's a .PDF on the Honda PowerSports web site for installation instructions.

You need to remove the grab rails, the seat and the back deck.
The little plastic covers have a screw that needs to be removed from the bottom.

In addition to the rack, you need to also purchase the bracket mounting kit.
    Part #: 08L73-MJG-670ZE

According to the Honda website, the BACKREST WITH PAD
    Part #: 08R71-MJG-671ZA
    has a MSRP of $299.95

Thank you Gentleman. My friend says he already has the rack and the mounting hardware. I have not seen it but will be looking at it soon. 1911 your information was great. Thank you. I appreciate it. Will let you know how it turns out.
