    Ohio Bike Week Trip

So four of are riding Saturday for Sandusky and will be staying for the week. Our itinerary includes day trips to Rock & Roll HOF, NFL HOF, and Henry Ford Museum. While in Detroit we are going to hop into Canada as well and maybe stay over for a day.
1st time for any of us to this area so any pointers would be appreciated.

I am assuming some of your riders are "car buffs" also and if you can swing it, The Ford Rouge Factory Tour in Dearborn is well worth the visit and time...Try not to miss it if you can...Info is available on the web under Ford Rouge Factory Tours...Regards and ride safe....

Actually I’m the Ford guy, my 1st car was a 1969 Mach 1 Mustang in High School.
I’m looking up the Rouge tour now.
    Thanks for the tip Opas

Don’t bring a handgun to Canada. Expensive mistake.

Watch the pot holes in Michigan. They are terrible.

Riding through the Cuyahoga national park is nice. If you have a day to ride to southern Ohio you can hit the triple nickel. There is lots to do in Cleveland. You can ride RT 6 along the shoreline. I also have a ride sheet for a covered bridge ride in northeastern Ohio from Rick when value accessories hosted a ride. PM me if you have any specific questions. Bars, wineries, backroads, restaurants etc. I was going to ride up today after work but it looks like a lot of rain. I will be there tomorrow and Saturday. Sorry I didn’t see this post sooner!

Went to Ohio Bike Week on Monday, the weather was perfect.
Once you get off of the pot-hole ridden roads in Michigan, the ride through Ohio was rather pleasant.
Took Ohio2 along the botton of Lake Erie, great ride, looked like a Harley parade most of the ride.
And Yes, I did count three Harley's stranded on the side of the road.
America must be GREAT again, because it was packed, the vendors were all busy, seems everyone was buying something.
    Going back on Sunday.

They don’t start closing off downtown till today. If you have only been to the Harley dealer and the pier(barrel house) there is a lot more to come! Tomorrow and Saturday are usually the best days to go. Tons of bikes and lots of free entertainment.
When that open road starts to callin’ me,
There’s something over the hill that I gotta see

The great white north are happy to see you, but our guys
ay the boarder don't seem to be as happy.

I got the exact opposite. Quick and curious on the US side and much scrutiny on the Canada side.
When you leave Canada its even worse.. Been up there a dozen times always the same.
We go through the Thousand Island crossing.
Theres one French sounding guy, you better be straight forward with. Any sunglasses or unnecessary talk and he will pull you in and you will be inspected.
    A-Holes.
And you will have to have a passport, like a driver license, if you drive through.
Full blown book type passport if you fly in.
And they do it all with a smile.
    ITS ALL GOOD
