    A Great 3,900 Mile Trip

Just got home yesterday from my 11-day 3,900 mile motorcycle trip out west. Two of us on this trip, me on my F6B and my buddy on his 2001 Valk Interstate. Both performed flawlessly. Very good time but my old body just doesn’t handle this very well anymore. Only saw one F6B on the trip, and that was the last night at the Comfort Inn in Fruita, CO. Tennessee guys headed to the Utah Parks and then Rockies-Gold. One of the guys on a Wing I knew from previous Gold Wing gatherings.

We had planned to do Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, but clouds and rain were moving into the NW, so after Crater Lake we hit Northern California. Key spots on this trip were:
    US-50 in Nevada
    Lassen National Park CA
    Burney Falls State Park CA
    Crater Lake National Park OR
    Southern Oregon Coast
    Northern California Coast
The Lost Coast (Cape Mendocino) CA
    Humboldt Redwoods State Park CA
    CA Hwy 36 (awesome riding)
    Sequoia National Park CA
    Yosemite National Park CA
    Extraterrestrial Hwy NV
    Cedar Breaks National Monument UT
Escalante -Grand Staircase National Monument UT
    Capitol Reef National Park UT

It was a great trip. Here are a few pictures.

Beautiful pics, especially the tree base, wow. I've never seen (guessing) a redwood? What's that on the crane? Looks like you have an ultimate seat?

    All very cool.
The big grin on your face tells 'the rest of the story'.
BTW. That picture of (what looks to be an uprooted tree) in Sequoia National park is fantastic.
Looked almost surrealistic.. conjured up by someone's imagination!
