    Zumo replaced

I've been using a Zumo 590 for many years and like it a lot. Last year it started not charging the battery for use off the bike, not really a problem but have read it is a common one and not a hard fix. Then the on/off button failed as in it fell out and is gone. I found a stylus tip off an ink pen that worked well when covered with electrical tape. Not pretty but functional. Plus it is kinda skint up in places. Today called Garmin about a possible fix and they said mail it to them and they will replace with a rebuilt 595 for $171 including tax and shipping. Add 11 more for me to ship to them and I have a newer model and perfect unit I hope. Garmin is good to deal with today as they were years ago when I had a problem with an old 550. Kudos! Looking forward to seeing what the 595 does diff over the 590, I heard it includes off road mapping, hopefully more than just that.

Nice to hear about good customer service, unlike a Corbin.
“Gibraltar” 2016 white deluxe has been sold.

They replaced my 550 at no charge, many years out of warranty, after the top left "button" fell off. Sure, it was a reconditioned unit they sent, but that was better than the one I had. The 550 stays on my FJR now, and I have a 595 on the B.

    and I still get lost...
