My 98 Valk was my favorite of all the bikes I have owned. Loved the simplicity and the attitude of the bike.

I hear ya on this one. I sold my 99 standard about 6 years ago and it still has a special place in my heart. There was something really engaging about the way those 6 carbs breathed in the acceleration. It's not as if it was necessarily faster than other bikes, it was just a really visceral connection to the road. I also enjoyed the shape of the bars, having my wrists in a more neutral position, and have considered having some angled bar tubes fabricated for the Heli's to approximate the position.

I just talked to Santa (the wife) and got agreement to bring me a handle bar riser set and new black Isogrips.
Will do the install, windshield swap, oil and filter change along with new air filter after the holidays.

The bike should be ready to go for the spring warm up.

Risers were probably one of my cheapest and best investments. I rode with ISOs for a while because I enjoyed them on my VTX. I eventually went back to OEM because I never felt like I had a firm enough grip on that awesome F6 power. Lol

I am pondering a switch. I am looking for a good price. I saw a blue one, but I was a bit worried because there were a LOT of pics, but NONE of the left side. Hmmmm.
