    West Virginia

Wife and I are heading out for an extended weekend. Staying at beech fork state park in West Virginia. Going to do a big loop south one day and ride the back of the dragon. Also plan to hit hillbilly hot dogs.

Anyone have any suggestions for things to do/see on the route or in the area?
When that open road starts to callin’ me,
There’s something over the hill that I gotta see

Route 60 is a great road if you want to stay off the freeway.

I grew up in WV and have been back many times. Some great riding. The southern part of the state, including the area around Welch, has some great riding. As someone else mentioned, New River Gorge Bridge. That whole area is great, including Hawks Nest State Park.

Probably too far away for you on this trip, but the best areas are pretty much any roads in and around Lewisburg, Elkins, Cass, Snowshoe, etc. Seneca Rocks, Green Bank, Blackwater Falls, Canaan Valley, and Spruce Knob.
