155th Bay Ridge Memorial Day Parade

Started in 1867 this is the oldest Memorial Day parade in the United States of America. Met a WWII vet 102 years old, had to take a picture with him.

Side note: I wanted to get the 21 Howitzer salute BUT I thought I was taking a video, instead, I was taking a picture and as my father used to say "There you go thinking again" I'll get it next year...if I remember.

My pleasure, I've been going to it since I was a kid. With both parents in the military it was mandatory before any BBQ or celebration. My mother used to say that we stand under the shade of the tree of freedom that was watered by the blood of fallen soldiers.
