    I thought the Honda keys had a microchip transponder in the top plastic?

    I don't know about a chip, but there are keys for the bags, etc. that won't work in the ignition because they are shorter.

    Agree. Mine still work in the ignition because I never got around to cutting them off shorter to install the knobs.
