    Fork pinch bolt

Replaced my tires the other day. One of my axle pinch bolts was really hard to loosen, (maybe some dummy used loctite?) Put it all together, they only torque at 16 ft #s. The one bolt torqued before it even seated. I went ahead and tightened until it touched the fork, and a slight snug more. Everything seems fine. Question, would you replace said bolt? I have the p/n, seems it is an 8x45 bolt. Is there a reason I can not simply take it out and go to Ace for a replacement? I also was going to possibly chase threads with tap? thoughts

If your worried about it, then replace it. I'm sure the old bolt would be fine if you chase the threads. However, just go to the store and get a new bolt. Won't cost that much.
