Just found these, this was when I was still working in Harlem in the years 1990-2000. The NYPD was using telephone vans for surveillance on the drug dealers in the projects. The union, nor the company, never told us about it so the word got around and the drug dealers were using or vans as target practice. They shot one guy in the a$$ just for fun. No hazard pay either.

We actually received what they call a "city allowance" which we used to call a ghetto bonus. Beside the truck break-ins and looting, gunshots, crack whores, drug dealers and murders it was a great place to work.Originally Posted by FarsideF6B
