Update on the tire if anyone is interested.
Changed the front to Bridgestone Exedra Max. Took the wheel and tire to a recommended local shop for mounting. Rode around a bit to scuff off the release agent. Have around 300 miles on it now and it feels good to have new rubber on the road. Probably put another 300 on it this week with a short ride down to GA.
Thanks to all for the advice.

Just ordered my 7th front tire for my F6. I always remove the wheels and reinstall them. just take the wheels to a shop for mounting and balancing. Pretty easy to do the job, front or rear. Summer on the way.

I'll repost this photo since it applies to this thread. I tried Avon 'Tyres' on the F6B since they worked well on my Valkyries. After this failure on the front I switched back to Bridgestone.

You can often find a decent rebate for the stock Stones too.

    F6Dave, That's a little spooky looking.
