Yes, it's a week long business conference. The hotel does have laundry service so that helps, but it's going to be a challenge to pack enough. 2 pairs of black pants should get me through, 4 company shirts, and plan to wash them halfway through.

I'm definitely an over-packer. of course I'm taking my 1911 and extra mag and box of ammo, fire-starter, kindling, life-straw, first aid kit, emergency shelter/blanket, tools, etc etc etc.. none of which I'm going to need. But I feel so much better knowing I have that stuff. I'm been caught out on a bike, in the cold with no way to start a fire and vowed that would never happen again. Been camping off my bike when some guys got off this up-armored bus and were standing there looking at me, and I didn't bring my 1911 that time, because I was traveling through some states that TX didn't have a reciprocal with. Vowed that would never happen again. If I take all that useless stuff I definitely won't need it. If I don't take it, I'll ride through some mystical portal to a parallel world with no way to survive! look, I know it's stupid, okay! LOL That's why I had to change the air filter in the first place, if I hadn't looked, it would have been really dirty, but that's just the way the universe treats me, since I took the whole thing apart, the air filter was always going to be clean! Does the universe treat any of you this way, or is it just me?

Now you see why I need a bike with giant side bags! Just driving to work 1 bag is full of tools, water, beef jerky, ammo, fishing line, duct tape, tools, Individual first Aid Kit, throw-down knife, etc etc.

Thankfully I've got a little (48L) top box coming, I found one within the budget, and it's easy and quick to remove, so I'll have plenty of storage space to cater to my weird preparedness superstition!

Howdy from up in Austin. As far as space, get yourself some travel compression bags. My wife turned me on to them before I left in September for the 2024 No Frills Rally in NC. It is ridiculous how much air we carry around, and these bags get rid of most of it, resulting in a lot of space savings.
