    oil filter

I just changed my oil and filter on my 2013 F6B and tried to use the Mobil M1-110 filter....found out the hard way that it was too long to fit my bike for some reason.
I made a trip to the local parts store and bought the Bosch 3323 filter and it worked fine.
I remember seeing somewhere that the Mobil M1-110 would work on our bikes, but I couldn't get it to start threading on because of the length .
Has anyone else had this trouble ? or was it just not holding my mouth in the right position ?

I've heard some say they got the longer filters to fit. But since most companies sell filters with that baseplate in 2 lengths I haven't tried. Honda used to sell the longer filter for Valkyries and the shorter ones for Wings, but then settled on the short one for everything. I doubt it makes a difference unless you run really long change intervals.

I switched to those cheap Super Tech filters at Walmart after the local Autozone stopped carrying Bosch. I had the oil analyzed and they both work about the same.
