HELP, I'M SOOOO SICK OF SNOW!!!!

OK I'm going nuts up here in CT (not too long a trip for me, LOL).
I'm thinking crazy thoughts about just taking a week off and looking for SOMEWHERE I can ride.

Sweetie has no vacation time, so I'd be alone (not excited about that).
It's snowy up here so I'd probably have to truck / trailer me and the bike to warmer weather. Even if I could ride out of here, there is no guarantee that I could complete the trip without hitting another snow storm along the way.

So here is my question... how far south or west or southwest would I need to travel to see reasonable riding weather?

    Now,
acceptable temperature for me is a pretty wide range. Over 50 degrees is good, over 60 is nice, 70-80 is perfect, 80-90 is getting warm and 90+ is reduced protective gear, no leather, just sunblock and a tank top. (Of course I'd be wearing pants too! No need to visit local law enforcement motel.)

Sand and salt free roads would also be preferred.

It may be better to just fly south and rent a bike.... I just want to run away from this snow!

Of course, practicing acceptance, and patience would be the cheapest way out. Spring will get here eventually.

Jump on a plane and come to sunny Arizona. Weather has been stellar recently and riding is great and scenic. Rent a bike, ride, then fly home.

You will need to stay away from the high county as it still gets cold this time of year. I'm sure the Florida or Texas crowd may chime in as well.

I grew up in Higganum CT and lived there for 32 years, I feel for you. This winter has been like winters of my youth, lots of snow and no opportunity to ride.

Good luck solving your cabin fever.

Darkknight I hear you.Not much better in Northern NJ.I wanna ride also but I know it will come soon and everything about the 2014 riding season will be awesome.I do have
a shorehouse in south NJ and there is a hell of a lot less snow there if any at all then my northern NJ house. So you do not have to travel far if you can deal with cooler/colder temps while riding

Well we are looking at rain in the next 24 hrs. Temps will be 45-50. I'm looking at the roads as I drive home from work and there are actually many dry spots. If the rain can work a little magic, maybe I can sneak a ride in on Sunday!
Temps will drop again in the beginning of next week with more snow around mid week.
I just need 3 hrs. And maybe 100 miles and I could last a couple more weeks.

But just for chuckles, I may price a flight to AZ.

Seriously, fly to Arizona? Take the back roads thru Pa. head south thru the blue ridge mountains and you end up in Sunny Florida. Beaches, Sun and Fun.
