How do you remove the whip? Do you just unscrew it or is there a trick to it?

Now THERE's an idea! Dual duty, too, if the pole is cut for the antenna reception optimal.

    Thanks, everyone!
The amount of info and help on this forum is amazing.

For the time being, I think I'll just "cap" the antenna mount.
When and if someone designs a removal kit that looks presentable (won't likely be me),
I'll be first in line to buy one.

    Thanks again.

    HA!

The ones I got at Homer Depot today fit,,, (3/8" made by "Crown" nut and bolt)....

    But,,,,,

    Just my luck,,,

    Dang things are YELLOW! LOL!

Figured I might 'paint' 'em black, but then again,,,,

    Yellow might be kinda 'fun',,,,

If any one asks about it, or,,,, 'justforthehelluvit', I can tell folks "That there yeller thing is part of my special 'radar-jammer' system I got at J.C. Whitney,,,"

Paint will not work….try the ends for a chair or bar stool….or Auto Zone , they will have a bag of assorted sizes…..
