    Hollister Rally

Hollister CA; the birthplace of the modern American Biker, and forever linked to the birth of the Hells Angels.. (it's safer that that now).

The rally is back after a couple of years hiatus (Corbin did his own bash), and the hotel reservations are already booked locally. You can call it Sturgis part-1 if you like, but if you can tollerate the earth's gravity shifting slightly when thousands of Harleys show up all black/chrome then other bikes are welcome too.

My F6B will be done and on public display in Corbin's area.

Great! I have to be there on the 4th for final fitment. They are going to be far too busy with show purchases on the 5th and 6th.

    Rally was great.

Last weekend I ran out of time to post about the rally, I had to get unloaded and back down to work (can't post there). It was amazing! I've never seen so many Harleys and so many scary looking people in one place before - there were thousands of bikes parked everywhere at Corbin's place and downtown Hollister! My husband said he counted something like 13 different "club" patches, a lot of them from clubs you wouldn't want to hang out with. Sonny Barger was there signing autographs, guarded by his Hells Angel goons and they were all perfect gentlemen. We never had one single incident, no cops called, no ambulances, nothing.
It was like an airshow without planes - a big mass of people.

We arrived late on the 3rd, and parked our RV out in the back-40 of Corbins place and unloaded my husband's wing. The next morning was the fitment of my bike's new seat, followed by one more trip in the photo studio before going out on the showroom floor. Hook showed up that morning, took one look a the bike and said "I want one". Mike Corbin got a chuckle and said it was his easiest sale of the day. Saturday, they recovered the prototype seat, repainted the red Smuggler and put it all together for him. They had cast another seat for me because it had a lot of foam cutting to be done. In the meantime, Hook went out into town and his bike was constantly surrounded by people!

Mike, was that you that showed up on Sunday outside the showroom? Folks, we had three black F6Bs parked together and I didn't have my camera.

Greg from Corbin is still putting together all the shots from the webpage, Hook has posted some up on line and I only have a couple taken by my husband while down at work - my apoligies. I'll get more out of my camera and crop them down.

    Hook, take it away buddy!

MSGT-R your wait has most certainly paid off. The seat flows perfect with the bike and doesn't take away from the bikes lines. The seat looks as if it were designed by Honda and the fit is perfect. Corbin hit this one out of the park and I would say that anytime you add an option and it looks as if its always been apart of the bike the job was done right!
Avatar is a photograph I took July 4th 2009 of a flag and cannon located on Freeman's Farm at Saratoga National Park in Stillwater, New York. A location of a Revolutionary battle field and an American victory over the British in the Autumn of 1777. Let us give thanks to all Veterans past and present for their sacrifice.

    Unhappy

Love the looks, can't wait to add one to mine. Still no sign on smuggler seat for F6B on Corbin's website...

It looks very nice, but I saw another post that showed the storage and anything more than a width of a pack of smokes does not look like it would fit.

I think a larger version that forms with the outer edges and was a little higher, providing more of a back rest would be awesome.

I look utility as well as looks.

There's a good deal of room in there, just not vertical. I joked with my husband that the forward corners are the right shape to holster your pistol..

PS: I cleaned up the left pipe with some McGuires Paint Cleaner. All gone!
