    Journey starts tomorrow

I'm leaving Wednesday, 8/13, 0600, for America's 9/11 Ride. From Orlando to Shanksville, Pa, to Arlington, Va, to NYC, then back to Orlando. The ride from Shanksville to NYC is police escorted the entire route.

There will be 6 of us, 5 Harleys and me. It will be a good test of how well I match up with the F6B. Both saddle bags packed and a duffel on the passenger seat which provides some back support. I've made the Orlando to DC trip many times on various Harleys and it always kicked my ass, hope the F6B is better.

My wife keeps reminding me I'm too old for this...but I'm too hard-headed to listen. The bike has <600 miles so it will be ready for the 4,000 service as soon as I return.

Hope it doesn't rain too much.

Good luck on your trip. I know I feel a lot less fatigued on longer trips after riding the F6B with the full fairing and quiet pipes versus any Harley I've owned.

Have a safe trip. I'm envious!!!!!! It sounds like a good time, and it will be interesting to know the comfort level on the trip. I'm sure the Harley guys will wish they were on a f6b after about 400 miles. God speed.....and you're never too old.
