    Why the headlight adapter?

If this bike was designed to take the H7 lamp, what would be the purpose of the wire harness being set up for a H4 with a adapter?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

He is asking why there is a H4 plug on the lights with an adaptor on the bulb to make it an H7 the only reason I can think is that in some other country they have H4 in the lights like on the 1500

That would make sense. It would be easier to change out the headlight housing than the wiring harness.

So much has changed over the years on the bike but this has remained a constant almost like someone at Honda bought too many plugs in 1990 and they are still trying to get through them

That plug on connector is hard enuf to deal with when your arm is pretzled up. Thank goodness they didn't design some new weasel brain plug to make it more difficult.
