Good write up Wayne. I got some fog lights and grips to bring to the rally. You should have time to do those for me in the evening.

144 solo miles. A tad chilly, but no heated gear and it was enjoyable. Would I be biased if I said this bike feels perfect? Got a huge thumbs up from a passenger in a car that passed me. Glad I had neck gear over my mouth . They would have seen the shit eating grin. I couldn't act that cool.

Got in 450 miles on Saturday. Wind was a issue at times, but overall, a great ride.

Did the first oil change, 2,900 miles. Finally installed the center stand I've had for a few months. Now ready to ride....after the snow and rain decides to let up.
The spring was a bit of a challenge. Used a brake tool and it took a few tries, but finally caught. The toughest part of the morning was putting the side cover back on after filling the oil!
The oil change was such a breeze after my last bike.
This getting old stuff is for the birds. Not as nimble as I used to be.

I really didn't like how the plastic chrome colored "F6B" emblem looked on the side panels. I had tried to plasti-dip them black, but couldn't get it to look good. So I peeled the plasti-dip off, removed the emblems from the side covers. I then went to Ace Hardware and picked up some nylon nuts & bolts, along with black bolt covers, and put them where the holes for the F6B emblem was. Looks different, cost a whopping $4.00 or so, but I like it.
