I just installed the lowering kit (by lower wing product: 1" drop in the rear)
on my bike yesterday. (I left the front as is, although they recommend
Sliding the fork tubes up by 1/2-5/8")
I'm at 5'7" with 28-9" inseam.
I had my stock seat trimmed down but due to the
Shape of the stock seat pan, there wasn't much
You could shave.
I've lowered ALL of the bikes I've ever owned and the last
One being a street glide (only 2" travel in stock form) I've
Gotten so used to the harsh ride.
My F6 has been so comfortable with stock setting AND
I just love how nicely it handles. So I swore to myself
Not to mess with the suspension. But I just
Couldn't resist lowering my bike....
Sure it looses the ground clearance when you lower
It, but I do not attach twisties on my bike anyway.
I must be one of the SOFTER riders but it works for me.
I'm glad I did it.
It rides as nice as it did before lowering it.
The part is a top quality product and for those who want to reach the ground more comfortably, I'd recommend it.
I kept my stock center stand and I can still put
it on it w/o any problem. Maybe just a little bit more effort but not
That much more than stock at all.
