    Australian Police F6B

I saw this on the net today. It seems the New South Wales Police are trying out the F6B.

Looks good, I'll bet the officers will like the bikes better than an HD police bike.

Do the police in Oz ride Gold Wings at all?

The normal Gold Wing is used by some police departments in the US but I have not seen an F6B in police livery.

Not that i know of. I think they might have tried a couple , but as far as i know none are in service. HD are not used here either. Again i think they trialed them but were not suitable. Most forces here use BMW or a few Kawasakis and some Yamahas.

Sitting on a H.D. you have an air temp of around 115*, pavement temp around 150* and a oven sitting between your legs causing crotch rot...don't ask me how I know.....

Some of the PD"s can't turn down the deals...$1.oo for the bike and you pay maintenance ... Wonder what deal Daytona got for their butt ugly bikes???

I wonder what criteria they used to select the F6... and what capacity it'll be used in.
