At the local Kroger, it's $1.47 gal for E85.

    Buck four seven.

As most of my driving is local city commuting, sitting in traffic at zero miles per gallon,,,, I came very close to getting an E-85 capable V-6.

At the last minute, I found the exact color of truck optioned out the way I wanted it right up the road,,, with a non-flex fuel 5.7 V8 with a 3.21 rear diff.

Unclear if the 5.7 was an overall ~better~ choice, but it's hard to resist the power of a V-8.

At first glance one might think a 3.21 could be a bit sluggish, but the 8 speed transmission makes this truck geared lower in 1st with a 3.21 than the 09 was with its 5 speed and 3.92 diff.

GM has an 8 speed now in certain trucks. Both Ford and GM trucks will have available 8 speeds in all their light-duty trucks soon.

    Mo gears is Mo bettah!

Correct. Most folks around here have no idea what 'expensive fuel' is,,,,

I understand there are a lot of small diesels oversea's. With 'cheap' gas here, they are are not quite as prevalent in 'average/smaller' vehicles, but, I believe they will be someday.

I filled up my F6B today for $1.69 a gallon for regular at Bucees. Murphy's down the road was $1.67. I guess we might see $1.50 or even lower after all.

    $2.17

Successful people build each other up. They motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain.

Whenever I get the urge for a good "hot dog" I trek into New Jersey and visit "Hot Dog Johnny's". Enjoying the food and cheap gas prices is a "win/win situation
