Is something wrong with my J&M speakers?

I cannot believe this is considered an upgrade! They have a "tin can" sound. Max volume is not as loud as the stock speakers. These have got to be defective----right?????

That's not good. Did you talk with anyone at J&M about it?
Also, make sure the radio is not set to Rap or Country.

Called them. They said to send them in to take a look. Just making sure my expectations aren't too high. Pain in the butt.

Old Ryder--I wouldn't say my J&M upgrade sounds worse than OEM but I was disappointed in the improvement (if any). That's why I'm still considering something better. Not sure yet what that will be.

I just checked my stock Goldwing Speakers (Still 2005 OEM) and they still made the following 3 songs sound damn good .....

Successful people build each other up. They motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain.

    "J&M" "Upgrade"

    is an Oxymoron.

Go with the Polk's on the Smokeyjoe audio thread...

This is what it sounds like when you order the American version of the authentic J&M speakers and not the cheap foreign rip offs.

Because if you get the knock-off they'll only sound good if you play the high treble music of:
