F6B seat on a Full Wing

Have we discussed this? Anyone try it?

I sat on a new black Wing the other day and was reminded why I said I would never get one. My knees almost touch the radio knobs and I feel like I'm sitting on the dashboard.

I wonder if the seats are interchangeable. I guess I could get the Wing seat modified.

I'm thinking a few years down the road when I'll want to tour more.

I think I would wait and see what the 2016/17 Goldwing models look like...My guess is the entire Wing is due for an overhaul and some mag writers agree it is time to update the current model to better compete with the BMW line and other makes as the Wing is getting a "little-long-in-the-tooth"....Who knows???

I sure hope they makes some updates. Especially those outdated knobs. Suck a beautiful bike and the electronics are so 1980 looking. They got a lot of work to do cause that k1600gtl is way more appealing. Just my 2cents. Anyways I couldn't have a full wing without major seat modifications.

This person probably had the same cramped experience and modified the wing with F6B parts so that the seat would fit him better. He then added a small trunk back on the bike.

Successful people build each other up. They motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain.

Thats why the last full dress Wing I had was a 1500.When they went to the 1800 platform I never did fit the bike well as my knees hit the fairing and I felt cramped. Most big guys go with a Mayer Day Long saddle as they can move you back and fit it to your own arss.

I think your combining two different saddle makers. first I believe it is Bill Mayer Saddles. http://billmayer-saddles.com/why-bms...orcycle-seats/

I know 100% it is Russell Day Long https://www.day-long.com/(I've been buy them since 1979).
I personally love their customer service and many options, they also offer "ride in and build in one day". I have custom fitted Russell Day Long saddles for all my steel steeds.

the guy who invented the second one... he was the genius!

That is one SLICK bike; if I ever do a trunk, it would be like that one!
