    Maybe I'm missing something here but wouldn't it be better to mount a holder like this on the left side, especially considering you probably want to grab the cup with your left hand .

    I'm going to try the one I ordered using the 3m industrial type of Velcro. Sorry I don't know the name of it, will find out. It will hold anything and can be temporary or permanent.

    Keith, I think you're talking about 3M Dual Lock. I use it all the time and it's great stuff. It has unbelievable holding power. In fact, I sometimes use a screwdriver to get those mating surfaces separated. I guess you could think about this as being hook & hook rather than hook & loop. Both sides have plastic hooks so when you join them, they actually snap together. Like you said, it's "industrial" velcro. Really good stuff

    I purchased on Amazon.com. Typical price for a 10' mated length (1" X 10') is around $37. In the package, you find 2-10' rolls so that results in the 10' mated length.
