    How big is too big

Windshield that is my ridding buddy is riding a 2012 GL1800 with the windshield extended all the way up. SOB looks like a sail and tank after tank ridding together I get 7 mpg better than him. I out weight him 50lbs, and I always lead and he doesn't ride aggressively at anytime. Only thing I can attribute it to is this windshield. Last tank we got running side-side together him 33.2 & my F6 40.2 mpg running 75-78 mph the entire 200 miles on that tank. He doesn't want any buffing on him so I can't get him to drop it. I know I would be sick if it was my GL1800 getting this fuel mileage

Couple of other things to take into account. 842lbs (F6B) versus 933lbs (Wing) and the extra drag of a tour pak.

Doug you are definitely on to something. Few years back I put a Rifle SoloShield on my 109. Its a large shield. Fast forward 2 years I went with the much smaller and sportier V-Stream. Instantly picked up 4 mpg. About a 13% increase.
