Thank you Old Ryder . I was on European Valkyrie Inzane , discovering Old Continent again . Riding on borrowed (from my friend) GL1800 , enjoyed the most spectacular places , staying for a week in Chamonix Mt. Blanc area , challenging twisty roads , I reveled in : gorgeous weather , healthy food , no nonsense people - you name it . We ended in Paris , where I stayed for a while . It's is cultural Capital of the World , so found myself in completely different world . This 2,500 miles trip allowed me to "polish" known languages , which in past I used in vast traveling and business matters . Among over 300 affiliated bikers , 3 Englishman rode F6Bs , Germans mostly on loaded Goldwings , Dutches on trikes , Russians on custom F6Cs - all great machines . Fantastic and friendly atmosphere . I felt like being at home . Returned to my American one and trying to adopt , again . First punch , which received , was overwhelming work , which I'll continue to perform until my .... next vacations . Life is beautiful indeed ...

Marc - you're right . The summit of 15,7K ft. Mt. Blanc ( Monte Bianco ) is on the French site , neighboring Italian one , literally can be visible from the 3 countries , including Switzerland . The best view on it ( as you've noticed ) is from Thonton-Les-Bains ( near Geneva ) and Versoix-Bourg Nyon thru the spectacular lake Leman .
Paris has over 30 bridges , suspended over La Seine river . This Pont Notre-Dame ( Le Grande Pont ) , originally was build from stone and was destroyed during Norman invasion in 886 . On the beginning of XX Century was reconstructed with metal span and amuse all in its present form till today . It's one of the engineering marvel .
If you like "European tours" , I can offer endless guiding and "travel" with you thru-ought many chapters of ever changing history events left behind .
