    Meessssshhh

Like a lot of guys here I was raised back when safety gear was a leather jacket and a condom. Never thought much about it till this last year as I began to ferment into ripening old age. So now I've been looking into what's out there, especially in the heat/drought we've been having out here (don't start, I know lots of you have it way much worse). I just discovered the joys of mesh pants, hot damn, sure beats cooking the groceries in Kevlar and denim. I've tried Bilt's mesh pants and Alpinstars, via Cycle Gear. The Bilts are roomy, very light and easy to wear at around $89, though they keep needing hitching up http://www.cyclegear.com/BILT-Blaze-...torcycle-Pants. The Alpinstars at $179 ($143 on sale) are a much heavier build and pretty damn cool looking, the nylon is more robust, but they don't vent quite as well,http://www.cyclegear.com/ALPINESTARS...torcycle-Pants. So I'm just going to have to see which of these works best, but they make a tremendous difference and way more comfortable than anything I've ever worn, or not worn ( tho they wouldn't let me ride the f6b nekid at the Freemont Solstice Day Parade, prejudicial bastards),but now I'm hooked. Next I found the Xelement mesh jacket from Leather Up http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Text...t/1458023.html Its almost all mesh, a really smartly designed jacket, with a ton of armor and comfortable too, tho some have had QC issues with it, but at $89 on sale with coupon, whose complaining? Well I'll let you know how it wears in a week or two. Lastly the old Alma Matter, HD has some very comfortable body armor http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...r-9807207vr--1. Their jacket and pants leg insert are lightweight, airy and super flexible and $25 a pop, unless like me, you still have your Harley Visa, in which case, they're free (give or take a coupl'a grand). Too bad their haute couture are nicer than their motorcycles, oh well.

I just bought these and love them and they are cooler than jeans. Dainese Drake Super Air $229.99
They fit like regular pants but flow air really well and have CE rated protection. The only problem is our fairing on the F6B does offer superior wind protection but you don't get much airflow. They are pricey but when you are ready to move up to the best try Dainese.

If you like leather try the Dainese Alien Pele pants (butter soft leather that makes you feel invincible) These were so good I have three pairs of Dainese pants now.

The Alien Pele leather (good for down to 20 degrees or below)
The Drake Air vents (good for 30 - 70 degrees)
The Drake Super Air mesh (good for above 70 degrees)

I like the Scorpion jackets (you can get them cheap after sales start Motorcylegear.com)

I have bates GX-8 Thinsulate and Gore-Tex boots $100.00 on sale. They feel like gym shoes and are both water and cold proof.
