I installed a thin plastic sheet inside the bottom of the bag to stiffen it to keep it from rubbing my paint. When I put too many water bottles in the side pocket it rubbed anyway (waxed out perfect so score 1 for the Honda paint). For rainy days I simply put my tent ground sheet on top of the bag with my tent on top. Never had any noticeable moisture inside the bag and I did ride in some rain but no more than a few hours at a time.
On the plus side the bag is very well made. It is also a backpack which was nice when the campsites were not next to the 6. Attachment 15840 The center outside pocket carried a small pillow that acted as my back support. All the outside pockets were much appreciated and I never filled the bag completely on a recent 7,800 mile trip. When I needed to the tent would fit inside the bag nicely.
