Where Did You Mount Your Cam?

Without jacking anyone elses thread, I've been wondering where you guys are mounting your actions cams? I've got my Sony AS20 mounted under the left mirror right now, since the mount is hard to see when the camera is off it and the mirror screw adds another layer of safety beyond the adhesive on the mount. I just use the Sony remote inconspicuously velcroed to the handlebar to control/view it. But I've been wondering if anyone rides with a helmet mount (seems like it would give the best views) but I'm thinking cruising 80 mph with one of those things stuck to the helmet isn't such a good thing?

My action cam is mounted to my helmet. But my camera is a ReplayXD...a bullet type.

As for yours, I've seen videos where some owners use 3M Dual Lock on the side of the camera and stick it on the side of their helmet. They say it's strong enough to resist wind while riding. Sony or other aftermarket mounts for that camera just makes the camera look way to obtrusive.

The other option is to mount the camera on your crash bars, but like you said... you will likely get a better picture if it's on your helmet... since it sees what you see.

Mounted a Mobius on my Farkle Shelf which runs in loop continuously. That one is to capture any unforeseen event. For special and particularly interesting situations, I mount an ion Air Pro on my helmet. One thing to keep in mind for cameras without IS, it's better to mount on something with minimal vibration. That's where helmet mounting comes in particularly well and another advantage is the camera is looking where you're looking.

IMHO mounting anything on helmet is bad idea. Why? Ask Michael Schumacher.
I use suction cup to mount Gopro on the winshield, inside.
It's also good protection against rain, dust and strong wind.

I have a mount on my left handle controls and I have a mount on both sides of my helmet. I tried the engine guard but it didn't work to good there for me. On the helmet shows forward down the rode over my screen and also my instruments. Only problem is me knowing when it is on or off. Don't buy the remote it drains the camera power faster.

I mount my GoPro on the left mirror using the stock sticky back supplied mount. I manually start and stop it. I'd like to have a continual power feed so I can leave it running. Haven't figured out a wired solution that doesn't look like the bike belongs to inspector gadget.
