I haven't received anything from Honda.
The dealer won't do anything until I have a recall letter in my hand.

How many here have received a recall letter from Honda??

I checked my VIN and indicates work needs to be done. However, I've not received notice from Honda.

I did not receive a letter. But the dealer ran my VIN and said I needed to bring it in.

From what I have seen in past posts (other threads) some dealers are eager to do the work; others not so much. Just no solid consistency across the board with them.

I went to the dealer 5 weeks ago, their "Goldwing" service guy said it needed to be done and they would order the parts.

I stopped by the dealer a week ago, the parts were in a warehouse in Ga. waiting to be released. The parts guy called Monday and they arrived Tuesday.

Dropped the bike off at 9am today, they finished at 1Pm. I picked it up and all seems well.

My Service Manager just said to come in when it was convenient for me...he did not check anything !

I have received nothing on either my F6B or my new Goldwing trike conversion. Two different dealers and neither one will do anything without the letter from Honda.

Two weeks ago I picked up parts to install a used center stand on my 2013 F6B. I mentioned to the parts manager the recall and he wasn't aware of it since they just recently became a Honda dealer. He checked the serial number of my bike on the Honda site and he said he would order the parts. I got a call Wednesday that the parts arrived and I took the bike in and they did the work today. On the ride back home I noticed the front lever and brake pedal were more responsive, needing less travel to apply the brakes. Otherwise all is good since I didn't have any issues prior to the work.Today I received the recall notice by mail...

Vin check says no. I replaced fluid anyway.
Dealer says Honda hasn't released the authorization to Powersports dealers in NW, yet.. Anyway they say they will call when Honda.... and get it taken care of. Said would discount any scheduled maint I wanted done, same time.

Good enough answer for me, for now..
