100% agree. Like the old adage says "Nothing ventured, nothing gained". And as Tony said, you have to work for it - there really is "no free lunch" anywhere in the universe. Success most of the time is the result of hard work and making the right choices which are usually the hard choices. Those "right, hard" choices add up over a lifetime, and then you get to enjoy the fruits - too many want the fruit first, and that just "ain't" life.
I saw this a while back and it speaks to me.OF course you have to use common sense in the risk you take but this is inspirational and fits my life.
In a weird twist of life I have raised my daughters alone. NOT easy but well worth it. I have taken risks and haven't ended up wealthy but still those risk gave us a decent life.
I understood they didnt know what it took ,but by example I have taught them that yeah, when the sh1^ goes sideways ,you do have to "jump". Work hard, calculate your risks,be smart as you can about what you are doing and when all else fails GO FOR IT. Win lose or draw dont just sit there .
I live this message and looking around now for my next flight....
I won custody of 2 children and raised them into 2 responsible adults and never once did I ever contemplate my own selfish desires because the mortgage was due at the end of the month. These celebrities like to fabricate and preach how to do what they did meanwhile they are the 1% of the 1% that make it big. He thought he was in a Baptist church at the pulpit. Tomorrow if he fizzles out and people don't find him funny he'll be playing cruise ships and nursing homes.
OK...so his command of the English language isn't that good. So what???? To me, that is looking at what he is saying in a very small way. This video is one of the most pointed, and Biblically-correct, discourses I've heard from a well-known personality in quite a while. I found it very refreshing and frankly, it's not something you can leave God out of, even if you'd like to. Oh no, it's all about God! The fact is, God has a plan for all of us. He didn't make us robots so we have a choice of whether or not we follow that plan. So, when Steve talks about "jumping", he's referring to the gifts that God has uniquely given us which is all part of that beautiful plan He's made for us. Happy, happy is the person that chooses that path.

Well said Hornblower---some folks just focus on the negative---have taken so many "leaps of faith" in my life can`t count them all anymore----some ain`t turned out good but most have---and I thank God for that--everyday---
