Chip, I can fit my modular Nolan closed and standing up in my bag. Takes a little effort, but it works. Always did that in the top case on my '06 RT. And I always wear my helmet, no exceptions. Too many crazy people out there. And it's so much cheaper than buying a new head.

Some of those bicycle helmets don't look effective at ALL! may as well wear a motorcycle helmet; at least a half helmet...

As far as the photo's of the damaged motorcycle helmets.. well there it is. IN YOUR FACE. Indisputable PROOF that they take the brunt of a bad situation. Look at the pictures and imagine what the rider's head would've resembled if the helmet wasn't worn...

    A curious thought....

    Football...
    Hockey...
    Baseball...
    Jai Alai...

All of these have objects moving up to 100 mph....
Yet would we let our kids play these "sports" without a helmet? or any of the "proper" gear?

True, getting into a bar fight and having a bottle cracked against your skull can make for a bad day.

There is protective gear worn in those sports... baseball may be exclusive of being completely cloaked in protective gear; but the catcher and the batter both wear something when facing that fastball.

What the hell is Jai Alai? Some kind of rice dish?
