Guys that backrest thing is really subjective. I'm an aggressive rider and live in an area where we have a lot of curvy roads. Some of the best anywhere. I use a lot of body english when I'm riding hard including leaning forward. I never use the leaning back relaxing position. Its just not for me. The step in the seat is more than sufficient.

I have the Ultimate King with the drivers backrest, and I wouldn't give it up at gunpoint!

Because you are in CA and you don't have guns.

Rich I hear ya. Everybody is different. What works for me may not work for you. That's why I posted that the backrest is subjective. Stro if you think that backrest is for you then check it out. I'm strictly giving you guys my impression. Everything I told you I think most would agree with as far as position comfort and support. That backrest thing is a variable. A lot depends on your riding style.

Congrats Shooter, that is a great looking seat. Glad you are pleased with it's performance.

Can you still remove the side panels with the new seat on ?

Looks darn good. Something to consider after I get some good mileage, and feelings for the ride. Enjoy it and thanks for the info.

That's what he really meant. We used to share a pup tent in cub scouts. We are VERY close.
