Show Low Az activites

I am currently on a temp assignment (4-6) weeks and wondering if anybody is aware of any must do things/sites in the area. I only have Sundays off and it's just to far to go to rent a bike down in the Phoenix area for a one day thing.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

The copper mines at Marinci are neat to see unless that's why your there. Toombstone, isn't far away. The White Mtns to the NE are a nice day trip. Oatman, an old gold mining town isn't far to the south. And Tuscon is within striking distance. There's a hiking traiL over the little mountain around the town of Safford.

All I remember other than weather is great there now, but look out for valley fever, seriously.
