What I did on my "summer" vacation...

Hey all!

In January I did another motorbike tour of New Zealand (it's summer there). I hauled about 50lbs of video gear along on the trip to do some short film stuff. A friend of mine who is an acoustic musician named Oliver Heperi and his girlfriend Kritara on a "spur of the moment" wondered if I could do a music video on his song "Paradise". Well, setting there with a pile of video gear how could I say no! It's shot at a cool little venue in Christchurch called The Astro Lounge and there are three versions: One incorporates some of the motorbike tour stuff in it; the second kinda highlights the venue; and the third (which I think is the coolest) is done "old school" in black and white. Just sharing!

No worries, mate! I want to try and make it out again next year! Here's a link to the trip summary I did for our riding group that has some shots of the Carbon Garage about half way through. They are supposed to be opening a new shop in Dallas, TX sometime soon and when they do I'll ride over for the open house. Be great to visit with them again!
