    Saddle Sore 1000- Phoenix, AZ

There's a SS1000 coming up in October. I haven't done one yet and I'd like to do this one. Can I get anyone to join me? Registration begins September 1st.

Phuckin' cool!! Really wanted to do this but it's football season.
I've done 1200+ miles in 23 hours (Eureka Springs to Phoenix) but it wasn't planned so no Iron Butt for me.

First...good to see that you are out riding today...YEAH !

Second...THAT is why we wear heated clothing and have heated grips.

I didn't really have time to post any more updates throughout the day but I made it and I'm home again. Whew, what a long day. Seems like a blur now.

1067 miles in 16 hours, 12 minutes. (not including 100 miles round trip from my house)

I used 26.93 gallons of gas so that's 39.62 mpg. It was really windy so I'm sure it hurt the mpg. Oh, and I was doing 80-85 mph most of the way.

I took a few 30 min breaks to eat and rest the buns. Actually my neck and shoulders hurt the most. It was fun but I can't imagine doing it on any other bike. The F6B was perfect!

    Time for bed

Bobby, CONGRATS on completing your Saddlesore 1000. Good time for your first 1000 mile ride.

With the sore neck, back and shoulders, you "may" want to look at handlebar positioning, or possibly seat reconfiguration. Getting the ergonomics of the bike into perfection, makes the ride that much easier, and you feel better at the end of the ride.

    Again, good ride, and Congratulations
