Removal of the old exhaust is very simple. One bolt and one clamp, then slide it off.

The service manager suggested disconnecting the battery for 30 min., to basically reset the system. He said it will "re-learn" the new exhaust and the extra flow. So I figured it wouldn't hurt. Hell, maybe he is right.

Now, don't forget to put those stock F6B exhaust tips up for sale over on the GL1800 forum. You will certainly be able to offset some of the cost of the new Cobras. Going rate is $200-$250 per pair depending on the buyer! Those '12-'13 Wing owners really want our discarded tips.

Thanks for doing this, very interested. I have them n the order too. I hope that the quality of chrome is excellent, too. Also, let us know about the sound. Thanks again!

Good post. Interested and watching.... Old question- Cobra gonna do black powercoat? I've seen the ceramic black from the other folks but I want flat black so I can join them anti-chrome folks.

So here are the elusive black pipes. Not exactly what i was hoping for especially with the silver clamps and having to reuse the chrome heat shield. Hopefully Cobra will QUICKLY create and sell a matching heat shield. On a positive note i like the sound and finish.
