Cobra 6 into 6 exhaust install

Thought I'd start a new thread on the install of the new cobra pipes. I just picked them up today from my local dealer. Been waiting on them for quite some time now. The are by far the most expensive set of slip-ons that I have ever bought. But so far I am happy with the purchase.

Previously, I had just drilled the stock exhaust and modified the tip

Removal of the old exhaust is very simple. One bolt and one clamp, then slide it off.

The service manager suggested disconnecting the battery for 30 min., to basically reset the system. He said it will "re-learn" the new exhaust and the extra flow. So I figured it wouldn't hurt. Hell, maybe he is right.

Now, don't forget to put those stock F6B exhaust tips up for sale over on the GL1800 forum. You will certainly be able to offset some of the cost of the new Cobras. Going rate is $200-$250 per pair depending on the buyer! Those '12-'13 Wing owners really want our discarded tips.

The problem with doing that mod to the tip is now they are s--t you can not sell them.
